My dad was a career Air Force man, and a Purple Heart recipient. We still have
a photo of two year-old me kissing my daddy's picture goodnight while he was
in Viet Nam. A lot of years have passed since then, but I still remember how
my mom looked every time she had to say goodbye to him and how me and
my brothers felt when Daddy had to get on the bus or the plane that was waiting
for him.
